Jake Paul mocked Nate Diaz’s viral choking video by choking his brother Logan in a new video, as seen below.
Former UFC fighter Nate Diaz was in attendance at a recent boxing event in New Orleans. Diaz, who departed UFC last September, is set to get a taste of the crossover craze later this year when he locks horns with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul.
Ahead of his return to combat sports competition, the Stockton native attended a number of boxing events in support of teammate Chris Avila. The latest was the MF & DAZN X Series 6 event that took place on Friday.
But the night’s fighting didn’t remain within the confines of the XULA Convention Center, with a brawl taking place on the streets soon after.
Nate Diaz attacks Logan Paul look alike
In footage uploaded by Paul Bamba, who suffered defeat to Diaz’s teammate in the ring at the event, the former UFC fighter can be seen locking an individual in a chokehold. The move came despite the man appearing to be attempting to de-escalate the situation.
After a few seconds, the man was then noted to be unconscious and he fell back, alarmingly hitting his head on the concrete. Some were quick to suggest that Diaz had choked out the brother of his upcoming opponent, Logan Paul. It was later clarified that the man is believed to be a lookalike of the Internet star and current WWE roster member.
While the post-event street brawl was undoubtedly the more serious incident involving Diaz on Friday night, it wasn’t the only one he played a role in. During the event itself, which came as the latest in the partnered series between Misfits Boxing and DAZN, Diaz initiated a ringside clash with Chase DeMoor, who appeared on season two of Netflix show Too Hot To Handle and season one of Perfect Match.
