Jeff Hardy Demanded WWE Bring In Top AEW Star

Former WWE Champion and tag team specialist Jeff Hardy will always remain one of the most loved and talented pro wrestlers in the history of the business.  He has competed in numerous promotions throughout his career, including the likes of WWE ROH and TNA Wrestling. Fans are certainly well aware of his history of substance abuse issues and the personal demons he had to face. Jeff Hardy’s AEW debut tease was also revealed.

He is also part of The Hardy Boyz alongside his brother Matt Hardy. The two are currently in different pro wrestling companies but that does not mean they will not be working together again in the future. Jeff Hardy won the WWE Championship after defeating Triple H and Edge in a triple threat match at Armageddon 2008.

It was recently reported that Jeff Hardy rejected WWE offering him an induction into the WWE Hall Of Fame. Matt Hardy would eventually confirm the report as well. Matt Hardy recently spoke on his latest Twitch stream, where he revealed that Jeff Hardy turned down induction into the WWE Hall Of Fame because he wanted to be inducted with Matt as The Hardy Boyz. In the end, Jeff chose his family and he will always stand by that decision and that is what matters.

“Jeff asked ‘so you want to induct me into the Hall of Fame?’ And he said ‘well let me ask you, I know you guys have spoken with AEW. Is this going to be the Hardy Boyz? Is this myself and my brother Matt?’ And they go ‘oh, no no, no, no. We can’t get Matt. He’s under contract at AEW. You know, it would just be you.’ And Jeff said ‘well, that’s a hard no.’ He stood up for the team of the Hardy Boyz.”
