Jeff Hardy undergoes successful surgery

This week’s episode of SmackDown Live saw the Hardy Boyz relinquishing the SmackDown Tag Team Championship due to Jeff Hardy requiring surgery for his injury.

After this, Jeff underwent successful surgery on Thursday in Andrews Sports Medicine in Birmingham, AL. He revealed the news via a Instagram video as seen below:

Jeff had been working with a bad knee since his dirtbike accident 4 years ago and he suffered another injury during the April 20th SmackDown Live event last month.

He was then pulled from the road and sent for medical examination. WWE decided to take the titles off them after learning about Hardy’s requirement for a surgery but so far, they haven’t announced any plans for the relinquished titles.

While an official timetable for his return has not been announced, in a post-SmackDown interview recently, Jeff Hardy himself had revealed that he will be out of action for somewhere between 6 to 9 months.
