Members of the WWE universe were offended and aghast during a joke that Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler made during the WrestleMania 37 pre-show. The joke which was centered around the COVID-19 pandemic and WWE Raw superstar – Braun Strowman.
Lawler would stated that ‘The Monster Among Men’ and former WWE Universal Champion tested positive for the ‘flower disease’ and is a ‘blooming idiot.’ A clear reference to positive cases during the COVID-19 pandemic age. A surprise WrestleMania photo of this WWE superstar just leaked.
Members of the WWE universe would state their outrage on social media via Twitter as @stevecollins88 proclaimed: “I’m against cancel culture but the more I think about it, Jerry Lawler got one of the biggest passes over the last 20 years or so Face with tears of joyFace with tears of joyFace with tears of joy Man was entertaining though.”
Fellow WWE fan @lphainey would also tweet: “Breaking my Twitter hiatus to wish you all a happy #WrestleMania one and all. While there is much that divides us we are all united in thinking Jerry Lawler is a sleaze bag who should never be on telly again.”
