Jerry Lawler “Ramen Noodle” line removed from Hulu version of WWE RAW

Jerry “The King” Lawler joined the commentary desk for Monday Night RAW this week, and in no time sparked some controversy in the WWE. During a match between Austin Theory and Akira Tozawa, King let out a joke that may have flown during the Attitude Era and even Ruthless Aggression days, but not in 2020.

Tozawa rolled off ran off the apron, driving Theory into the barricade on the outside. Between bantering with Zelina Vega and Tom Phillips, King said:

That was more of a Ramen Noodle Moonsault.

It didn’t take long for the wrestling side of Twitter to explode, with fans calling out the Hall of Famer on his dated comedy. It seems that the backlash was so strong that Hulu decided to omit the comment from their version of RAW.

It’s unknown if Lawler will face any punishment for his comments. At the moment, neither he nor the WWE have addressed it.
