Jim Ross claims that he was initially wrong about Orange Cassidy

In a recent edition of Grilling JR, WWE Hall of Famer and All Elite Wrestling commentator, Jim Ross, opened up on AEW sensation Orange Cassidy.

Ross, who in the initial stages was pretty critical of Cassidy’s gimmick, stated that he has been impressed with the latter’s work and highlighted the fact that there is a uniqueness in Cassidy’s character, which has certainly gotten over within the AEW audience.

The WWE Hall of Famer further labeled Cassidy as a “stud” and admitted to the fact that he feels bad for those who have been criticizing OC due to the presentation of his size.

“He’s a stud man, he’s got it. So I feel badly for those criticising, because they’re basing it on size only or that he’s got a different presentation that they haven’t seen. That’s not really fair to the talent. I admit when I first saw Cassidy, my old school self said ‘it’s never gonna get over stupid.’ And I was wrong. I don’t mind admitting I’m wrong when I’m wrong, and I was wrong on Orange Cassidy, he’s a fine guy. He’s a good Pro, and he’s got a different act.”

Cassidy recently competed in his first singles match at AEW Revolution when he came agonizingly close to pulling off a shocking win over PAC.
