Earlier this month, it was announced that Jim Ross would be leaving the WWE. With his contract coming up on March 29th, it was speculated that he’d be heading to AEW.
It was rumored back in October that Ross would be heavily involved in All Elite Wrestling, not just as a commentator, but as a backstage presence. In an appearance on Outside The Lines today, Ross revealed that negotiations were going on between AEW and himself.

I don’t know. We’re talking. I just haven’t signed anything yet. My people and their people are doing their thing. The only agent I grew up knowing was a State Farm agent in Oklahoma.
I got a real agent now, man! So, they’re working on it.
Ross went on to say that he’d like to break out of his wrestling role as well, maybe getting into voiceover work and a maybe college football.
