Jim Ross on Tony Khan ‘practising’ for AEW since childhood

WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross is currently a commentator in AEW and also has experience working in other companies. He is currently satisfied working for Tony Khan.

Ross spoke on his Grilling JR podcast, where he talked about Tony Khan and what Khan did in order to prepare for the role as President of AEW. He had been booking professional wrestling shows since he was only 10 years of age. It ultimately laid the foundation for what was to come later on in life.

Ross also gave praise to Khan’s love for professional wrestling as a whole. On top of paying Ross properly, he also considers him a good friend.

“Tony Khan is a very talented guy. He’s the best boss I’ve ever worked for. That’s not a knock on Vince. I’m comparing a 35-year-old guy who loves the business. Tony Khan has been writing wrestling TV shows since he was 10 years old. He’s been practising for this gig that he has right now since he was a kid. He shares that enthusiasm. It’s very contagious. I’m a big Tony Khan fan for several reasons. He pays me well and he’s a friend. He’s great to work for. I see how he operates. He motivates talent very well. I’m very blessed to be where I’m at right now.”

Ross revealed in the past that he plans on ending his career in AEW. As he has signed a multi-year contract with the company, it will still be a long time until he retires.
