Jim Ross thinks Braun Strowman should cash in at WrestleMania

With Brock Lesnar defending his Universal Championship against Roman Reigns at Summerslam, many have wondered if the Monster Among Men would cash in his MITB title shot this Sunday. Braun Strowman first has to defeat Kevin Owens to retain the briefcase. However, if he wins on August 19, will he walk out of Summerslam as Universal Champion?

Jim Ross doesn’t think Strowman should cash in on Sunday. In fact, the WWE Hall of Famer believes the best way to put a title on the current Mr. Money In The Bank is to have him crowned as the new Universal Champion at WrestleMania.

I think in time, and I do say this, now he’s got the Money In The Bank briefcase, now he does, speaking of Strowman. I still think he should be anointed at WrestleMania. If you want a guy to be eternally over, in the sense of given the chance to be eternally over, you make the transition at WrestleMania. That’s my looking at it. It doesn’t get any bigger.

Should Braun Strowman hold off on cashing in until next year’s WrestleMania? Fans and critics alike feel that the only way to save the Universal Title match from being torn apart by the Brooklyn crowd at Summerslam is to throw Strowman into the mix. However, Ross makes a good point in having someone win their first major title at WrestleMania.

In fact, the only MITB cash in to take place at WrestleMania, when Seth Rollins took the WWE Title in the “Heist of the Century,” is considered one of the greatest title swaps in Mania history. Maybe Strowman having patience is the way to go.

When do you think Braun Strowman should cash in the Money In The Bank briefcase?
