Jimmy Uso arrested for altercation with Detroit police, WWE comments

TMZ Sports report WWE star Jimmy Uso has been arrested this week following an altercation with Detroit Police.

“The 33-year-old — real name Jonathan Solofa Fatu — and his wife, fellow WWE superstar Naomi, were pulled over near downtown Detroit … after cops say Naomi was driving the wrong direction on a one-way street.

According to our police sources, cops say their 2018 Dodge Journey reeked of booze … so they ordered Naomi out of the car.

We’re told while Naomi talked to cops, Jimmy got out of the car — despite commands from police — and took off his shirt and jacket and squared up like he wanted to fight.

We’re told the officer took out his taser ‘cause he was scared for his safety.”

Uso was eventually calmed before being handcuffed and taken to jail before posting bond. He was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction.

WWE released the following statement on the matter to Heel by Nature:

“Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions”

There’s no word if there will be any consequences for Uso following the incident. He and brother Jey are scheduled to face Shane McMahon and The Miz for the tag titles at WWE Elimination Chamber this coming Sunday.

Bryan Alvarez also had some interesting comments on the Usos’ WWE future and whether this will have any implications for that.

“I think you’ll be surprised because The Usos’ contracts are coming up here in a few months and the company doesn’t want them going to AEW. So I wouldn’t be surprised if The Usos won the titles quite frankly.”
