Naomi, whose real name is Trinity Fatu, may have hinted at not returning to WWE. Last May, due to a disagreement with the creative direction, Naomi and Sasha Banks, now known as Mercedes Mone, left WWE. Mone received her WWE release before making her debut in NJPW last month at Wrestle Kingdom 17.
Contrary to Mone, there hasn’t been much discussion about Naomi’s future in wrestling in recent months. When Mone made her NJPW debut, it was reported that Naomi was expected to return to WWE.
The most recent update came from Dave Meltzer last month that talks between WWE and Naomi were ongoing, but nothing had been signed.
In her Instagram bio, she updated it to state ‘JUST Trinity.” She removed any WWE-related info from the account long ago, but this is a clear statement that she plans to go by Trinity going forward and seemingly not with WWE.
