Jinder Mahal on the backstage reaction to his WWE title win

Jinder Mahal

Jinder Mahal winning the WWE title back in May is undoubtedly one of the most surprising things to happen on WWE Programming in the past year.

During a recent interview with WrestlingInc, Jinder talked about his surprising title victory and revealed the backstage reaction to him winning the WWE title.

According to him, the backstage reaction was very well because it showed people that anything was possible and claimed that he made his own push:

“I think the reaction backstage was very well, because it showed the boys that anything was possible. Jinder was there to enhance the other guys, to make the other guys look good for years, was released. And he came back and was still — he didn’t come back and win the title immediately. I made my own push; I made my own opportunity. WWE is a place where they reward hard work, and they realized, the rest of the boys realized that when they do hard work, doors will open, and stuff starts to happen. And it does. I’d like to think that I motivated the other guys in the locker room.”

Apart from this Jinder Mahal also talked about Vince McMahon’s reaction to his win and said that the Boss gave him a big hug after he won the title.

I couldn’t have stated it better… at least someone has the guts to speak the truth, which is a breath of fresh air.

Opinions are opinions but facts are facts. Went from jobbing to a title run in a weeks time when WWE is kicking off the Network in India (2+2=4). Not saying he didn’t do well once given the opportunity but he was handed the chance because of circumstances and his ethnics. He didn’t create his own opportunity unless you consider being born Indian creating an opportunity for yourself.

    I disagree.
