Joe Biden Can’t Say His Age In Video

President Joe Biden opened up about aging in his first TV interview since dropping out of the presidential race. The president admitted it’s difficult to say how old he is — 81 — out loud via Mediaite.

“I can’t even say how old I am. It’s hard for me to get out of my mouth,” Biden told CBS News chief election and campaign correspondent Robert Costa in an interview that will air in full on Sunday on CBS Sunday Morning.

Biden stated that he thought of himself as a “transition president” and that stepping aside was in the interest of beating Donald Trump, which he emphasized is the top priority.

“Although it was a great honor being president, I think I have an obligation to the country to do the most important thing you could do and that is we must, we must, we must defeat Trump,” he said.

Biden recently dropped out of the Presidential race in the wake of concerns from some within his party about his stamina and age. The president quickly endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris.

The interview between Costa and Biden occurred at the White House. During the conversation, Biden stated that he is not confident there will be a peaceful power transfer if Trump loses in November.

“If Trump loses, I’m not confident at all. He means what he says. We don’t take him seriously. He means it, all the stuff about, ‘If we lose, there’ll be a bloodbath, it’ll have to be a stolen election,’” he said.
