“The Rock pretended to be a Chinese guy 13 years ago, [social media says], ‘we need to go after him now.’” Rogan’s guest Dave Smith told him about a supercut video where Rogan is reacting to the video.

“When you step out, and you say something silly, and he said something silly.”

UFC President Dana White recently spoke about Joe Rogan’s absence from UFC 271. The popular UFC commentator, stand-up comedian, and podcaster Joe Rogan has been recently involved in a controversy with Spotify. He was being accused of spreading misinformation about the virus on his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, on Spotify.

Another alarming issue followed suit over the weekend when a video compilation of him saying the “N-word” on his podcast went viral. Rogan was replaced by former middleweight champion as well as beloved UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping on the desk on Saturday due to a ‘scheduling conflict’. Recently, Jake Paul spoke about UFC removing Joe Rogan.

Dana White breaks silence on Joe Rogan’s absence

White has revealed that Joe Rogan’s absence from UFC 271 was not a company decision and did not involve any ‘scheduling conflict’. It was hours before the latest UFC pay-per-view at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas that it was announced that former middleweight champion Michael Bisping would take Rogan’s place on the commentary desk.

There was also speculation that Rogan had a scheduling conflict and hence decided to skip UFC 271. Few even spoke about how the decision could have been because of Rogan’s podcast controversy.

However, White refuted all those rumors at the post-fight press conference:

“No, there is no conflict of schedule. Joe Rogan did not work tonight. Rogan couldn’t work tonight. I do not know what Joe Rogan had to do. You guys have to ask him. But I mean there wasn’t any Joe could not work or anything like that. I know that came out and it is total bulls**t… Whenever he’s going to work again, he will be working,” said White.
