A new John Cena promotional spot for his TBS series Wipeout appeared on AEW Dynamite last night during the Hangman Page vs. Isaiah Cassidy match. John Cena was ‘upset’ with his WrestleMania booking.
Dynamite was a packed show, with one of the featured segments being Sting rescuing Darby Allin in the desert from his bodybag. He then came out with a bodybag that had Taz’s son Hook in it, retribution for the attack on Allin a couple of weeks ago. Darby Allin then ziplined into the ring from the rafters, similar to Sting’s 90’s WCW entrances.
Sting then got revenge on Brian Cage for powerbombing him last week, hitting a Stinger Splash and Scorpion Deathdrop. Sting had not hit either move since his last match against Seth Rollins at WWE Night of Champions 2015.
Chris Jericho and MJF also attacked The Young Bucks’ father, leaving him bloody, to heat up their feud with the Bucks over the AEW tag titles. Jon Moxley cut a heated promo on AEW Champion Kenny Omega about their violent match at Revolution after defeating Dolph Ziggler’s brother Ryan Nemeth.
A package also aired hyping up Shaq and Jade Cargill vs. Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet for next week on Dynamite, highlighting Cargill’s athleticm and featuring comments from Jim Ross. Big Show was reportedly ‘in debt’ before signing with AEW.
