John Cena drops hints for a return

While many top stars like Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar and Batista have completed 20th anniversary in WWE, Cena will soon reach the same feat. Speaking with Adam’s Apple, Cena teased a possible return in the ring for WWE. Though he didn’t go into full details, he did mention how this year marks the 20th anniversary of his WWE career. He then dropped some hits about his return to the company.

Here is what he had said:

I know in WWE years I turn 20 pretty soon, so that’s a pretty big thing. And from a pretty storied class of folks: Batista, Randy Orton, Brock [Lesnar] who kind of all turned 20 this year. I’m aware that that’s coming around the corner and who knows?

While he seems focus on establishing his Hollywood career, Cena doesn’t want to fully end his wrestling career just yet:

“There’s a lot of cool stuff going on and I don’t want to say no to any of these opportunities that are on my doorstep. So, I don’t know when I’ll be back but hopefully it’s soon. I’ve been gone for too long.”

We will now have to wait and see when he decides to make a comeback to the company. Speaking about his acting career, Cena is set to star in Warner Bros.’ animated hybrid Looney Tunes film Coyote vs. AcmeDeadline reported that Cena will star in the film, which is being directed by Dave Green (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows). The film is written by Samy Burch based on the Looney Tunes characters & Ian Frazier’s humor article “Coyote v. Acme” in The New Yorker. Coyote vs. Acme will hit theaters on July 21st, 2023.
