John Cena Drops Bombshell Before WrestleMania Backlash

Fans have been eagerly waiting for the former 16-time World Champion John Cena to make his return to WWE. He shockingly made a comeback at the WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view back in July last year and was immediately involved in a brief feud with Roman Reigns.

The two had a match at WWE SummerSlam for the Universal Championship, where Cena lost and once again departed. John Cena would then take to social media and inform fans that he will see them soon. Now, he believes that he needs to resonate to the story.

John Cena opens up on his future WWE return

While speaking On Backstage’s In The Envelope podcast, John Cena stated that he will need to resonate with the story for a possible comeback to WWE.

“So if I read a script and I’m throttled by it and I just I love the story and I feel as if I can contribute to the story. It also doesn’t matter what they want me for, they could be a small part walk across the screen and say hi or it could be you know, you with your name on the marquee.

I think for me at least it comes down to loving the material and then it goes to the next level of well is this with good folks and sometimes you know. Sometimes I may take a gamble on the groups but I very rarely nowadays. I just can’t do anything that I can’t resonate with and I don’t have some sort of connection.”

John Cena is expected to make his WWE return later this year. We will have to wait and see if that is the case.
