John Cena moving to RAW after WWE SummerSlam?

It sure seems like John Cena is moving to RAW after WWE SummerSlam. John Cena is scheduled to work WWE No Mercy on September 24th. That would be his first RAW PPV since last year’s WWE Draft. As of now, Cena’s is scheduled to appear on the go-home episode of SmackDown for WWE SummerSlam on August 15th. After that, he is currently only scheduled to work WWE RAW tapings and RAW PPVs.

 


 

John Cena is working only RAW live events month, with the one exception being a SmackDown Live Event in Springfield, MA on August 14th.

John Cena as a “free agent”

John Cena returned to WWE SmackDown as a “free agent” on July 4th. He defeated Rusev at WWE Battleground in a Flag Match at WWE Battleground. Last week on SmackDown, John Cena confronted WWE Champion Jinder Mahal and challenged him to a match.

SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan came down to the entrance ramp and informed Cena that he doesn’t just get to declare himself the #1 contender for the WWE Championship. Bryan made a match for tonight’s episode of SmackDown, with the winner moving on to SummerSlam to face Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship. John Cena will face Shinsuke Nakamura later tonight on SmackDown to determine who gets a shot at the title on August 20th at WWE SummerSlam.
