John Cena Posts ‘Goodbye’ Message To WWE Fans

WWE star John Cena squared off against Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam pay-per-view. After building up the epic match for weeks, they finally collided at ‘The Biggest Party of The Summer’ but Cena could not capture his 17th World title which would have created a record.

 


 

John Cena will go on a hiatus

Following his heartbreaking loss, he took to his Twitter account and opened up on the loss. He thanked the staff members of WWE and also showed his appreciation towards the fellow stars and most importantly towards the fans.

The 16-time World Champion also thanked his fans for giving him a memorable summer at “home” with his “family”. Cena concluded his tweet by stating that his journey will take him away now, which indicates that he will go on a hiatus. He wrote:

“Words cannot describe how appreciative I am that the @WWEUniverse allowed me the opportunity to return and perform. Thank you staff, superstars, and most of all FANS for giving me an unforgettable summer at “home” with my “family”. The journey takes me away now but I’ll C U soon.”
