John Cena Reason For Being Gone From WWE Leaks

The former WWE Champion John Cena did not make an appearance at WrestleMania 38 as many fans expected him to be a part of the show. Fans have been wondering about his absence and now the reason has been revealed.

 


 

John Cena has been in New Mexico

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Cena was in New Mexico filming the upcoming live-action-CGI Looney Toons film entitled Coyote vs. Acme, where Wile E. Coyote will sue Acme over decades of defective products. The former 16-time WWE Champion was cast to play Wile E. Coyote’s former boss at Acme.

Cena took to social media following WrestleMania 38 to congratulate the roster on the event and to hype RAW after ‘Mania, which is usually a very newsworthy episode of WWE programming.

Speaking about the film, follows “a down-on-his-luck (human) attorney who takes on Wile E. Coyote as a client in his suit against ACME over its defective products, only to discover that his boss at his former law firm is representing ACME.”

He is set to star in Warner Bros.’ animated hybrid Looney Tunes film Coyote vs. AcmeDeadline reported that Cena will star in the film, which is being directed by Dave Green (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows). The film is written by Samy Burch based on the Looney Tunes characters & Ian Frazier’s humor article “Coyote v. Acme” in The New Yorker. It is described as follows:

The film follows Wile E. Coyote, who after ACME products fail him one too many times in his dogged pursuit of the Roadrunner, decides to hire a billboard lawyer to sue the ACME Corporation. The case pits Wile E. and his lawyer against the latter’s intimidating former boss (Cena), but a growing friendship between man and cartoon stokes their determination to win.

Chris DeFaria and James Gunn are producing, Gunn through his production company Two Monkeys, A Goat and Another, Dead, Monkey. Gunn has worked with Cena on The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker, the latter of which was just renewed for a second season.

Coyote vs. Acme will hit theaters on July 21st, 2023.
