After the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event, WWE United States Champion Austin Theory held a media session where he was asked about his next opponent by Steve Fall of WrestlingNews.co. When Fall inquired if John Cena was next in line to face him, Theory expressed frustration over the constant focus on Cena and the lack of attention paid to himself.
Although Theory did not comment on the rumored match against John Cena at WrestleMania 39, speculations have been rife ever since their initial encounter on Monday Night Raw last summer.
In the meantime, Theory will be facing a new challenge from Edge on Monday Night Raw before WrestleMania. The Rated-R Superstar responded to Theory’s United States Open Challenge and will be seeking to dethrone the current champion.
Prior to her highly anticipated title match, Mercedes Moné participated in several media interviews. During her conversation with ESPN, the former Women’s Champion was questioned about the possibility of returning to WWE despite her acrimonious departure due to differences with the previous management. In response, Moné gave the classic “never say never” reply, suggesting that anything is possible in life.
She emphasized that she always follows her heart, and her future decisions would depend on where her heart takes her, without ruling out a potential return to WWE.
