John Cena says his time is almost up in the ring

John Cena recently spoke with Sports Illustrated about his work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Cena received the SI Muhammad Ali Legacy Award for his incredible work in philanthropy.

The future WWE Hall of Famer is currently the record holder for most wishes granted by a single person, with well over 500. Cena told Sports Illustrated that even when he retires from the ring, his charity work won’t end, saying that he’s “not even close to done.”

When asked about where he’s at in this point in his career, Cena said it’s time to pass the torch.

It’s a giant relay race, and I’m in the phase where I’m handing the stick off. My time is up. Someone else’s time is now.
