The on-screen rivalry between John Cena and Batista is one of the greatest chapters in WWE. Cena sent out warm wishes to ‘The Animal’ on the 20th anniversary of his debut in the company. ‘The Animal’ has had a legendary career in the company and has been a dominating performer inside the ring. The 53-year-old, who retired at WrestleMania 35 in 2019, is a six-time world champion and a two-time Royal Rumble winner.
John Cena states Batista has set a ‘remarkable legacy in WWE’
The former 16-time World Champion took to his Twitter account and sent out a message to Batista and lavished praise on his former OVW and WWE colleague.
Cena wrote:

John Cena has not appeared in WWE since unsuccessfully challenging Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam last year. He has movie commitments in Hollywood. While Batista is set to reprise his role of Drax “The Destroyer” in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3”. He has previously indicated that this third film in the series is likely the last for his character. The writer and director James Gunn revealed on social media that the movie has wrapped up the filming portion of the production.
The other principal cast members will also be returning for their roles, including Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Zoe Saldaña as Gamora, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, and Vin Diesel as Groot. The movie is currently scheduled to be released sometime in 2023. It has been also noted that in other business ventures, Batista opened a new DC Society Ink tattoo studio in Tampa, Florida. He visited the shop this April while on a brief break from filming Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 in Atlanta.
