John Cena Sr. says WrestleMania 37 should be delayed

The COVID-19 pandemic severely affected the world of professional wrestling. Owing to the pandemic, Vince McMahon had no choice but to change several plans for WWE last year.

This included WrestleMania 36, which was held inside the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, with no live audience.

John Cena Sr. was recently interviewed by Boston Wrestling MWF’s Dan Mirad, where he revealed what he wants Vince McMahon to do for WrestleMania 37. He wants the pay-per-view to be postponed until July or August of this year.

“I don’t see why and I have no idea why Vince is set on April. I have no idea why and as a former business person I would venture to move it into July or August. Why not? Just think of what would happen. It doesn’t mean it’s gonna be every year, but finally we have WrestleMania with all the people there with the crowd.”

Cena Sr. clarified what he said, stating that what he thinks is dependent on the number of active COVID-19 cases decreasing considerably before Summer takes place this year.

WrestleMania 37 will be held on March 28th, 2021.
