John Cena to debut new finishing maneuver at upcoming event

John Cena

We noted before how John Cena announced on Twitter that he will be making his in-ring WWE return at the upcoming WWE Live Event from Shanghai, China.

After the announcement, the company caught up with the former World Champion who has been training at the JC Stunt Team International Training Center.

During the interview, the Cenation Leader revealed that he has been working on a new move he hopes to use as a finishing maneuver since the Attitude Adjustment has not been as effective as it used to be.

When asked when we will see his new finishing maneuver, John said that in appreciation of the Chinese culture, he would debut the move at the upcoming Live Event:

There is talk of a September 1st event in Shanghai and I couldn’t think of a better way to show my appreciation for China, Chinese people, and Chinese culture than to debut what I think is a finishing move that will provide me victory in Shanghai on September 1st.

You can check out the full interview of John Cena in the video below:

  • Keith Learmonth

The move is something he picked up after training with Jackie Chan and his stunt team, so unless Jackie Chan is going to join wrestling as JC Punk, I think you’re safe from this.

  • Jesus Ortiz

Instead of changing his finisher, how about changing his character. He hasn’t changed his character in over decade…. Even hulk hogan changed his character.

  • Mike the Ike

I read this and I worry Cena is going to start using the GTS, thinking someone in China innovated the move.
