The reports of John Morrison having signed a new contract came out a couple of days ago and the internet has been buzzing about it since then.
However, the former Intercontinental Champion took on his Twitter recently and suggests that the reports of his imminent WWE return are not accurate.
Morrison replied to a post about the reports and mentioned Pwinsider, the original source of the news to suggest that he has not signed with WWE:

Though it’s possible that John is playing with the audience to keep his return a surprise and we’ll have to wait and see how the story develops further.
Things should get clear in the next couple of weeks because if the former Champion has really signed a new contract then WWE will have the best opportunity to introduce him back into their programming during the special episodes next week or the drafts which will follow.
