Jon ‘Bones’ Jones is one of the most infamous fighters in UFC history and certainly someone who isn’t afraid to cause a lot of controversy. Most notably, Jones had tested positive for banned substances in the past and has also been arrested on felony hit-and-run charges. A top UFC commentator leaked this ‘rigged’ Jon Jones fight.
In a much more ‘mild’ form of controversy however, it was revealed that Jones took part in some light gambling as it was revealed by Jones himself that he bet on the outcome of tonight’s main event of UFC Vegas 33: Uriah Hall Vs. Sean Strickland where he bet on on Uriah Hall to defeat Sean Strickland.
Jones tweeted out: “I actually sparred with Uriah hall a few months ago, his movement felt awesome. I got my money on him tonight.”
Unfortunately for Jones, that will not be the case as he lost his bet tonight. Sean Strickland won via unanimous decision, going to the distance with Hall.
A new ‘painful’ Jon Jones training video recently leaked. Over on the ever-popular UFC subreddit fans were discussing the outcome of the anticipated main event with one Reddit user not too fond of Strickland or his win tonight. Particular-Hat4393 stated: “I can’t believe how successful Strickland is with that ugly-ass boxing. Goes to show how an active jab and continuous pressure is so important, even if it looks awful.”
