Jon Jones knocks out Daniel Cormier, calls out Brock Lesnar (video)

Jon Jones defeated Daniel Cormier at UFC 214 on Saturday night to win the UFC light heavyweight championship. Jones knocked out Cormier in round three after connecting with a brutal kick to the head and following it up with punches and elbows while Cormier was down.

After the fight, Jones thanked Cormier for the rivalry and then proceeded to call out former heavyweight champion and current WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar:

“Brock Lesnar. If you want to know what it feels like to get your ass kicked by a guy who weighs 40 pounds less than you, meet me in the Octagon.”

If Brock Lesnar is to return to the UFC to face Jon Jones, he still has five months left of his suspension to serve for testing positive for banned estrogen blocker clomiphene. It was recently reported that Lesnar had re-entered the USADA drug testing pool, but UFC’s Vice President of Athlete Health and Performance Jeff Novitzky claimed those reports were false.

During the press conference before UFC 214, Jones brought up a potential fight against Lesnar in the future. Jones said the fight would be “a massive draw and really big for the sport. It would be a great challenge. That’s a big ol’ boy. I doubt Brock Lesnar would take that fight, though”. Lesnar was then contacted by The Associated Press and stated “Would I fight Jon Jones? Anytime, anywhere.”
