Jon Moxley blasts WWE for not testing for Covid-19 properly

Jon Moxley is not happy with WWE’s early approach to testing their Superstars. During his recent interview with Dave Meltzer, Jon Moxley revealed his feelings about WWE failing to test their stars properly. Early on in the pandemic, WWE was not conducting full tests on their Superstars, instead, doing partial checks.

As a result, a Covid-19 outbreak hit WWE, infecting a number of stars. Moxley’s wife, Renee Young tested positive for Covid-19 around this outbreak as well. During his interview with Meltzer, Moxley revealed what he thought about WWE not performing proper checks early on in the pandemic.

“I mean, what did you think was gonna happen if you just never tested anybody? We were testing people from the get-go. There’s no way to do this that’s absolutely perfect and foolproof, but you have to do the absolute best you can. They got a cajillion dollars and they couldn’t afford a couple tests?…It was a bad deal, man. Then I had to pull out of another show ‘cause of it, so then I was extra extra pissed. Taz made me feel better though. Taz hit ‘em with that sloppy shop line. Then I was like, ok, hell yeah. Taz to the rescue, baby. FTW. The score is even.”

As Renee Young tested positive, Moxley missed his AEW show appearance as well. The AEW World Champion quarantined instead and defended his AEW Championship two weeks after he was originally supposed to. Renee Young has now left WWE as well, after attending her last show at WWE SummerSlam.
