Jon Moxley ‘Convinces’ Top WWE Star To Quit

Former WWE Superstar Christian made his return to WWE during this year’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view, after a hiatus of seven years from the squared circle. He was never seen on WWE television since then and many fans speculated whether that meant he would jump ship to a rival promotion. Vince McMahon’s painful reaction to losing Christian was just revealed.

In the end, that is exactly what he did as Christian made his shocking debut in AEW during the AEW Revolution pay-per-view last Sunday. He came out as Christian Cage and even used the old theme song that he used while in TNA Wrestling.

Christian Cage recently spoke on Oral Sessions with Renee Paquette, Christian Cage revealed that the deal with AEW happened very quickly. He had no idea what he was going to do but he spoke to Jon Moxley. Ultimately, after Christian Cage called Tony Khan, the deal was made rapidly.

It all happened really quick. I wasn’t sure I was going to go after, and all the talks I had were very cordial [with WWE]. I’m good friends with you, I’m good friends with Jon, and he talked to me and had his opinions and it made me kinda think, ‘OK, maybe I am doing myself a disservice if I don’t at least explore all my options.’ And, at this final stage of my career, I ended up having a conversation with Tony and it just escalated very quickly. It went very fast. Within a week, it was a done deal.”

Daniel Bryan gave Christian advice about a ‘bad’ injury before returning.
