Jon Moxley Draws Bad AEW Quarter Hour Rating

Jon Moxley, who is usually one of AEW Dynamite’s best ratings draws, was involved in the lowest rated quarter hour of the night on Wednesday, with his tag team match with Lance Archer against Kenny Omega and KENTA drawing the worst viewership of the night.

The much hyped AEW and NJPW ‘forbidden door’ opening did not lead to a viewership jump, with the match drawing 692,000 viewers. Darby Allin’s TNT title match with Joey Janela was the show’s peak with 860,000 viewers. The only other time viewership increased was for Chris Jericho and MJF vs. The Acclaimed, which drew 780,000 viewers. Below are the AEW and NXT quarter hours from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Triple H defended NXT’s poor ratings yesterday.
