Jon Moxley inks a new deal

Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio discussed the situation and noted that Jon Moxley probably is one of those wrestlers to sign a new deal if he originally agreed to a three-year deal when he joined the promotion.

“We’re right at the time where the people who were signed prior to the first show [Double Or Nothing] because the first round of people were the people who were signed on the first week of the year, January 1st essentially, Young Bucks and Kenny Omega was like February actually. Jericho, Cody Rhodes, and all that. They were due at the top of the year.

[Bryan] Danielson and Kazarian…Scorpio Sky was early also. Moxley would probably be one of those guys if he signed a three-year deal. The three years would be up. I don’t know the deals as far as if he has an option or whatever like that. All the people who would’ve debuted at that first show in Vegas that signed three-year deals, and JR would’ve been one of those people where he debuted on that show their deals are coming up now.”

Moxley and Bryan Danielson vs. Dante Martin and Matt Sydal in a tag team match was taped for Friday’s AEW Rampage.
