Jon Moxley set to defend the AEW World Championship against Brian Cage at Fyter Fest

At AEW Double or Nothing, Jon Moxley retained his AEW World Title over Brodie Lee in a thrilling contest.

In the post-event media scrum, Tony Khan announced that Moxley would be defending his title against Brian Cage at AEW’s next PPV, Fyter Fest. And, further details regarding the event will be shared on this week’s Dynamite.

Cage made his AEW debut at tonight’s Double or Nothing when he came out as a mystery participant and put on a dominant showing to win the Casino Ladder Match.

As for Moxley, ‘The Death Rider’ won the AEW World Title at AEW Revolution and when asked about Brian Cage, the former had this in say:

“They’re not getting any smaller are they? Christ!”

With ECW veteran Tazz serving as Cage’s manager, the build-up to his feud against Jon Moxley could be very interesting.

Interestingly enough, the first-ever Fyter Fest event from 2019 was also headlined by Jon Moxley, who defeated Joey Janela in an unsanctioned match.
