It has certainly been a wild and eventful month for both Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal. First, in a hard-hitting matchup inside the octagon, Covington would defeat Masvidal via the judge’s decision after going all five rounds at UFC 272. However, now the two are taking their feud outside of the cage in a situation that is all too real and all too personal.
Jorge Masvidal recently posted this offensive tweet. As in a new video that was obtained by TMZ, Masvidal can be seen outside the popular Miami steakhouse, Papi Steak on Monday. In the video, which can be seen below, Covington can be seen telling police: “He’s over here swinging, trying to come at me, and I ran. He would then later tell a friend of his “How would [Masvidal] know I’m here?”
Taking to social media via Twitter, Masvidal would say about the occurrence: “What’s up, I’m from Dade County. “You talk that s*** you got to back it up. That’s how my city rolls, man.”
These actions from Masvidal come after Covington stated during a recent appearance on BT Sports Covington made the allegations that Masvidal doesn’t speak to his children. It should be noted that Masvidal has two daughters and a son and mentioned them when confronting Colby.

“What I say to that Michael is words (and) actions. If you didn’t have these actions I wouldn’t be able to have anything to talk about if he wasn’t a deadbeat dad, he doesn’t even talk to his kids. He’s tried to erase the mother of his children and his wife still legally on paper – Marisa Masvidal from the history of the internet.”
Colby would also say: “He scrubbed her clean. Oh, the only person that says that’s the wife of his kids is his manager’s sister now. How demonic is that? That’s so despicable. It’s disgusting Michael. And if he didn’t have these actions I wouldn’t have anything to say.”
Per a police report obtained by MMAFighting, Covington sustained a fractured left front tooth and an abrasion on his left wrist. Masvidal could face a possible battery charge.
