Jorge Masvidal Huge Nick Diaz Challenge Leaks

Could a super fight between Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz be in the works? MMA insider Ariel Helwani is certainly spreading the flames of speculation as he recently took to social media via Twitter to reveal that he has spoken to Masvidal’s agent not too long ago. The manager, named Abraham Kawa told Helwani that Masvidal’s plan is to return later this year and hopefully either face Nick Diaz or Colby Covington. A top UFC competitor recently dropped this Nate Diaz ‘choking’ bombshell

“Spoke to Jorge Masvidal’s manager, Abraham Kawa, about what’s next for Masvidal. He said Masvidal is targeting a return in October/November against either Nick Diaz or Colby Covington.”

Masvidal has not been seen in the UFC octagon since UFC 261 when he had his welterweight title rematch with Kamaru Usman. Masvidal was knocked out in the first round by strikes in that contest.

In other news regarding Jorge Masvidal, the top UFC competitor recently discussed Nate Diaz’s fight with Leon Edwards and how he wasn’t surprised that Edwards wasn’t able to finish off Diaz during an interview with The Mac Life. Credit to BloodyElbow for the below.

“It was a good fight, good performance, I thought. Leon does what he does and he keeps asking for more money and more things, but he’s not a finisher. He’s not a fighter,” Masvidal said. “He was winning happily and he wasn’t willing to put himself in a risk to go out there and get those finishes. That’s why I don’t think he’s in the position that he wants to be in, because he’s not going out and fighting every second of every minute.

Nate Diaz ripped this ‘wrong’ UFC fight decision not too long ago. Masvidal continued: “So he’s a very skilled guy, but he just doesn’t have that grit and that meanness in him to go out there and beat up a top contender the way he should.”
