Kane on why he chose to work Crown Jewel despite controversy

The Crown Jewel PPV was probably one of the most controversial events WWE has held in the history of the company and it was criticized by fans for a lot of reasons.

With all the negativity surrounding the event, superstars like John Cena and Daniel Bryan pulled themselves out of the show. However, there were others who still honored their commitment.

One of these stars was the former World Champion Kane, who was asked why he participated in Crown Jewel during a Reddit AMA and replying to it, the Big Red Monster said that it was because the arrangement was made long before the controversy.

Because WWE donated $100,000 to the Knoxville Public Safety Foundation which was arranged long before the controversy. I made a commitment to our local first responders and I wasn’t willing to break that.

Apart from this, Kane also discussed playing as himself in WWE 2K series video games and more. You can check out his full AMA at this link.
