The Rainmaker is BACK. Kazuchika Okada defeated and dethroned Jay White to once again capture the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at the G1 Supercard event in Madison Square Garden.
Jay White became the NEW IWGP Champion after he defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi for the title earlier this year. However, he then entered into a feud with Kazuchika Okada that culminated to their match at G1 Supercard.
This was seen as Okada’s redemption against Jay White and Gedo. This will be Okada’s fifth reign as the IWGP Heavyweight Champion.
Okada is also the longest reigning IWGP Heavyweight Champion of all time.
