Kenny Omega expects to see Kota Ibushi in AEW in the near future

A few days ago, it was revealed at the All Elite Wrestling Double or Nothing Ticket Party that Kenny Omega had not only signed with the promotion but was also an executive vice president. In a recent appearance on Wrestling Observer Radio, Omega had a chance to talk about AEW, why he chose them over the WWE, and what to expect in the future.

Omega also mentioned his Golden Lovers partner and friend Kota Ibushi, who he said was welcome in AEW at any time.

We would love to use Kota. I wish he was here all the time, he would be the perfect roommate if he liked America. I’m probably going to relocate to America, as well. He actually has a wrestling school now, yeah, he’s got a wrestling school in Japan. We’re going to be supportive of that, he has a couple of commitments with that as of now, but again, the door is wide open.

Without even saying anything, I would expect to see him here in the future. Not Double or Nothing or anything, but…I’ll say near future.

H/T to Wrestling Inc. for the transcription.

All Elite Wrestling continues to grow and with two partnerships between AAA and OWE, the promotion seems to have a little something for every wrestling fan out there. Kenny Omega believes that we’ll see Kota Ibushi in the company very soon, which will only add to an already impressive looking roster.

Bringing Ibushi in would be very helpful, as AEW could use him and Omega to help focus on the tag division, or keep both of them near the main event. Either way, whatever they do with the two, it will be worth watching. As far as Omega goes, it looks like he’ll be facing off with Chris Jericho again at Double or Nothing on May 25th.
