On the special edition of AEW Dynamite, promoted as “Winter is Coming,” Kenny Omega will challenge for the AEW World Title. The Best Bout Machine went on a great run following his split from Adam Page. In a tournament to determine Jon Moxley’s contender, Omega knocked off his former tag partner in the finals at Full Gear.
Kenny Omega spoke to Forbes about the upcoming match, as well as WWE stars he’d like to face at some point. He started off with a man he’d worked with in NJPW.
“AJ [Styles] and I worked together in New Japan. He saved me in a lot of ways when I was thinking about possibly getting out of wrestling. He was there for me to help point me in the right direction and I think he would be a great opponent.”
The New Day and Seth Rollins also made Kenny Omega’s list of WWE opponents.
“The New Day, those guys would be a lot of fun to work with. I get compared to eth Rollins. Seth is a great wrestler and I think we could have some really great matches.”
Omega finished the topic by stating that he just wants to work with “genuinely good dudes” as opposed to someone who is just a great ring talent.
