Kenny Omega has been praised as one of the best professional wrestlers in the world. He has wrestled in many promotions all around the world. This includes Mexico, where he won the AAA Mega Championship in October of last year. It seems he will have to defend the title soon.
Omega is currently the AAA Mega Champion and he has been the champion for 404 days and counting. He has the fifth-longest reign in the title’s history. However, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, he has only managed to defend his title three times.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed that Omega will be defending the title at TripleMania. He will put his title on the line against Laredo Kid. The event will be held on December 12th in Mexico.
We will have to see if Omega will be retaining the title. Before that, he is set to challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship on the December 2nd episode of AEW Dynamite.
