To add to the rumors, Kevin Owens once again dropped a huge hint regarding his AEW status. The former Universal Champion made a slight tweak to his Twitter account, which definitely did not go unnoticed by fans. He did something similar to what The Young Bucks have done on the social networking platform.
However, all speculations were put to rest after it was revealed that Kevin Owens signed a new contract with WWE. It was said to be a deal of multiple years and worth millions of dollars. WWE also had Kevin Owens partake in all their Holiday Tour live events despite the risk of COVID-19. It seems he might have contracted the virus as well.
Kevin Owens’ wife Karina Elias took to her Instagram and revealed that she has tested positive for COVID-19 and that their whole household might have caught the virus as well.
Kevin Owens recently led many fans to speculate he was going to AEW after cryptic tweets ahead of his contract expiring with WWE in early 2022. Owens ended up resigning with WWE, leading to him re-entering the main event title picture, though Bobby Lashley pinned him in a four way number one contenders match on Raw on Monday, though Owens seems poised for a top spot on WWE Raw in 2022.
