Kevin Owens ‘Leaving’ For NXT Rumor Leaks

Kevin Owens was set to return to NXT? Acclaimed professional wrestling Dave Meltzer recently took to social media via Twitter to answer members of the WWE universe who had questions revolving WWE contracts and NXT, especially regrading the issue of pay. He first answered a fan who wondered if WWE talent usually signs standard contracts or if that changes once they are promoted to the main roster. Kevin Owens apologized to this WWE star after their firing.

Meltzer responded: “Varies. I know guys who were on the “main roster” on the same contract as NXT. Usually that’s not the case, they usually get a raise. But each case is different.”

Another fan asked if current NXT star Karrion Kross gets main roster money, to which Meltzer replied a bombshell regarding Kevin Owens, stating that the former WWE Universal Champion would have got big money to return to NXT. Meltzer replied with the following quote: “I don’t know each case individually. Balor absolutely gets huge money and when the plan was for Owens to go to NXT, he also would have.”

In other news regarding Kevin Owens, former WWE Tag Team Champion, Cliff Compton, known to WWE audiences as ‘Domino’ from Deuce and Domino fame, discussed wrestling alongside Owens in Ring of Honor during a recent interview with Lucha Libre Online. Domino said the following quote. Sami Zayn ‘hated’ this surprising Kevin Owens match.

“I had a lot of fun. It’s interesting how I got in there. I was friends with Kevin Steen or Kevin Owens and he had this idea. He was doing this group called Scum. If you remember, Matt Hardy was in it and a couple of other guys. He said: ‘Hey, I think you should be in this group’. At that time, I’ve never done anything with Ring of Honor.”

Continuing Domino stated: “”I remember I had an indie show the night before and I drove to Chicago. It was snowing. Those crowds were a lot of fun. Very rowdy. Nobody knew. I came in at the end. I threw some powder. I don’t know in whose eyes, but the whole crowd, was like, whoa. It was a lot of fun. And then from there we stayed in Scum. I think Rhyno joined, and then eventually, me and Kevin Steen at the time got into a big big rivalry.” Kevin Owens recently discussed the WWE Network ending.
