Kofi Kingston reveals spot which almost brought him to tears

In 2019, Kofi Kingston had a dream run on the Road To WrestleMania 35 that eventually culminated in him winning the WWE Championship at The Grandest Stage of Them All by defeating Daniel Bryan.

On the Road To WrestleMania 35, Kingston was involved in the Elimination Chamber Match and on a recent edition of The New Day: Feel The Power Podcast, the former WWE Champion recalled an incident from the pay-per-view that almost brought him to tears.

Kingston had to deal with the gigantic Rowan at the Elimination Chamber PPV. The former was hit with a brutal chair shot during the match that almost made him cry, and The New Day member labeled it as the worst pain he’s ever felt during a wrestling match.

“Rowan hit me so hard, and immediately like my eyes are welling up with tears. I’m just like, oh, and I’m like, I’m almost about to cry. And I’m like, you know what, it’s probably okay if I shed tears because that really really really hurt. They’ll [the fans] understand that hurt so badly.

Kingston’s road to becoming WWE Champion was truly full of emotions and almost a year later, it is safe to say that KofiMania was definitely an incredible run.
