Kofi Kingston reveals where he suffered his jaw injury

Kofi Kingston’s current injury has been a bit of a mystery as WWE only announced that the former champion is out of action due to a broken jaw but they didn’t reveal any details on when or where he suffered the damage.

The former WWE champion finally revealed the details of his injury on the latest episode of The New Day: Feel the Power and he revealed that it actually happened during a Raw match.

Kingston explained that he injured his jaw during his match with Cedric Alexander on the December 7 episode of Raw last month, though at first he didn’t consider it to be anything serious:

“Back to when I injured my jaw, so I got kneed in the face by Cedric Alexander, three weeks ago, a couple of my teeth were chipped. It was fine. It was cool. The point of impact was really sore. So, I thought, ‘Okay, it’s a bruise or whatever’. The next week, we had a six-man match and everything was fine. A little pain, but not terrible.”

However, Kofi aggravated the injury in the six man tag team match featuring the New Day and Jeff Hardy vs. The Hurt Business the following week:

“Then, the next week, right before we went out, it just kept feeling like it was loose. As soon as we get out there to the ring, I’m moving around and now, I’m feeling it kind of come out of place and feel like it wasn’t set in.”

Commentators announced on last week’s episode of Raw that Kofi Kingston had suffered a broken jaw and the WWE star himself confirmed the news on his Instagram later on.

Though so far there is no news on how serious his condition is and how long the New Day member will stay out of action. We will keep you posted on his status.
