As noted, Alberto Del Rio reportedly signed a deal with WWE that would see him make $1,450,000 per year downside with a reduced schedule. Days later, WWE contacted Dave Meltzer and stated that the $1,450,000 is not accurate. Instead, they claimed it was “about a one-third of that number.”
During a recent edition of MLW Radio, Konnan spoke about Alberto Del Rio’s contract with WWE and Del Rio’s remaining dates with AAA. Konnan addressed Del Rio’s contract being around $450,000 per year. Konnan stated that Del Rio would not go back to the WWE to make less money than he was on the indies.
He also stated that AAA plans on Del Rio making the last two scheduled appearances on his contract.
Finally, Konnan said that Del Rio is happy to be back in WWE and that Del Rio has fixed whatever problems he and WWE had.
