Kris Statlander suffered a knee injury and had surgery for it. She has been on the shelf since June 10th after tearing her ACL. She is currently recovering from the injury, but it could be a long time until she makes her return to AEW.
Statlander spoke to Wrestling Inc, where she talked about her current recovery time and when she could be making a return. She revealed that it is unlikely she will be a complete recovery until the middle of 2021. Even then, there is no assurance she will be making an in-ring return immediately after that.
“I’m doing pretty good. I think from what I’ve heard overall is that I might be a little bit ahead of others where I’m at right now, but I still have a real long way to go before I can re-debut basically and get back in the ring before I’m debuting again obviously, and I’m going to want to be training a little bit before. So I’ll be able to get in the ring before you’ll see me back on TV. It could be another eight months or so.”
Before she suffered her injury she was gaining momentum in AEW. We will have to see if she is able to return by June of next year.
