Kurt Angle claims the infamous Shooting Star Press spot in WrestleMania 19 as his idea

WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle has had a roller coaster of a career so far, from winning the Olympic gold medal to establish his name in the pro wrestling business, Angle has done it all.

One of Angle’s greatest moments in the WWE came in the form of WrestleMania 19, where he main evented the show alongside the “Beast Incarnate”, while the match went on to become one of the greatest main events in the event’s history, the match is always remembered for the scary bump that Lesnar took while delivering the Shooting Star Press.

In a recent Facebook Q&A, the RAW General Manager revealed that the idea behind the spot was his. Angle said:

“Well, it was my idea to do the shooting star…Brock misjudged the flip and landed on his head. It was a scary moment. But nothing was said between us about it.

“The match spoke for itself regardless of the failed flip. If anything, it became one of the most popular Wrestlemania moments.”
