Kurt Angle reveals why he once quit wrestling

Former World Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle recently held another question and answer session from his official Facebook page.

The topics the Hall Of Famer touched during the session include him shaving his head for the first time, delivering an angle slam to Mae Young and more.

When asked if he ever thought about quitting wrestling, Angle revealed that he had actually quit the sports once during his amateur years but he came back more motivated than ever:

Pro or amateur? Pro, I never wanted to quit, amateur, I did quit 2 years before the Olympics. I was having a difficult time making the world and Olympic teams. When I quit in 1994, I realized I didn’t want to have regrets, so I came back more motivated than ever. The rest is history. 1995 World Champion. 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist.

Apart from this, Angle also talked about his WrestleMania 21 match with Shawn Michaels, saying that he and Shawn sat down and tried to know each other better before the bout instead of going over their match like other wrestlers.
