Kurt Angle reportedly upset over not getting a high profile WrestleMania opponent

Kurt Angle - Baron Corbin

As reported earlier, WWE’s decision to book Kurt Angle alongside Baron Corbin for the final match of the Olympian gold medallist’s career did not go down well with the fans.

PWInsider reports that even Kurt Angle is disappointed with the opponent chosen by the WWE and was hoping to get a high profile match at the Grandest Stage Of Them All.

Angle’s WrestleMania journey over the course of his career includes a lot of high profile names as Chris Benoit, Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio and Brock Lesnar.

After a lot of hype surrounding the opponent for the former champion with names such as The Undertaker, John Cena and Shelton Benjamin making the rounds, the fans and Angle are equally disappointed with the final choice of opponent.

Everything is a “work” these days.

  • ROB-1.

I hope that is the case. Needs someone who has been wrestling for years and well known. WWE please wake up.

  • Hate to ruin your party, but it’s obviously leading to Corbin beating Angle.

    I’ve got a feeling it’s a work.

Corbin’s going to get taken out by someone and replaced with a last minute surprise opponent that’s better, i.e, Cena, ‘Taker, maybe even HBK himself.

    He sucks anyway

If they don’t start booking Baron seriously after this, it is a waste.
