Kurt Angle reveals his choice for the Greatest of All Time in WWE

Kurt Angle, the WWE Hall of Famer recently held a Q&A session on his Facebook page. Many fans questioned him about different topics. One of the fans had asked him to give his thoughts on John Cena’s debut match that was against the ‘Olympic Gold Medalist’

 


 

Kurt Angle chooses John Cena as the G.O.A.T in WWE

During the session, Kurt recalled the time when John Cena made his debut on SmackDown. His debut match happened against Kurt as Cena responded to an open challenge in June 2002.

Kurt lauded the the 16-time-World Champion for his in-ring ability and talent. He also clarified that it was Cena who carried himself and not Kurt. He then hailed him as the ‘Greatest of All Time’ in WWE.

Kurt said:

“John was so great to work with. Kind, professional, and talented as hell. I didn’t carry him in that match. He carried himself. He’s the greatest WWE superstar of all time.”

John Cena’s gimmick change to a rapper in 2005 helped his gain the popularity among fans at that time. He then went onto win his first championship gold at WrestleMania 21 when he defeated JBL for the WWE Championship. Cena never looked back since then and has been the ‘face of the company’.

The WWE Hall of Famer had expressed his desire multiple times for Cena being his final opponent of his legendary career at WrestleMania 35. However, things were played differently and that did not happen.
